We're in Charleston, South Carolina

We awoke at 1 AM for our 5 AM departure from Oakland. Our 17 hour day could not have gone any better!


This trip was chosen by our older son. Steve and I have been trying to get back to Charleston for almost a decade. I am beyond excited!


With the time difference and no direct flights to Charleston, one has to leave before dawn.
The window seat sunrise made it worth the effort.
Our home for the week made it worth the effort as well. One never really knows what one will get from a description on a website but oh man, we chose really well. I'll probably do an entire post about our Folly Beach home but needless-to-say, we were very happy to land here.
