At 8:05 AM we were at Reno Airport gathering our friends, David and Karen, from SoCal for five days of a Sierra Sojourn for them and a whole lot of fun for all of us.

One of our favorite stops is the historic town of Genoa, Nevada's oldest settlement (1851). |

After strolling through some shops, we got in the car and drove off when I noticed the Old Genoa Bar was open. Steve turned the car around and we went in 'just for photos'. But at 10:22 AM we were compelled to have a drink. One cannot enter Nevada's Oldest Thirst Parlor without imbibing! |

Jane Beckenham was in Tahoe because her husband wanted to be a part of the 50th Anniversary celebration of the Early Ford V8 Club. |

I am so glad we learned of this car show. There were over 300 Fords from the years 1932 to 1953. David delighted in posing with his same year 'model'. |

We could have ogled all day, but naps called to all of us. |
A tourist remains an outsider throughout his visit;
but a sailor is part of the local scene from the moment he arrives.
