Fallen Leaf Lake Hike...

With the promise of a glorious day, Jenny and I embarked on an adventure.

Mt. Tallac, with an elevation of 9,739 ft, makes a spectacular back drop.
I am on the far right of Jenny's photo- an exceptional capture of this indescribable place.
We continued to look for bears, yet this paw print was the only evidence we saw today.
We watched the weir be removed, which means all egg harvesting is done.  Now it's a salmon smorgasbord for the bears and unobstructed natural beauty for us to see.
Twain described Tahoe best, "...life on Lake Tahoe would restore an Egyptian mummy to his pristine vigor, and give him an appetite like an alligator. I do not mean the oldest and driest mummies, of course, but the fresher ones. The air up there in the clouds is very pure and fine, bracing and delicious. And why shouldn't it be?--it is the same the angels breathe."

I love your photo with the reflections. Beautiful! So glassy smooth and calming.

These pictures are exceptional. WOW! And... WOW! The lighting is great for the picture of you and Jenny, and the background of course is spectacular. But my favorite picture is the one of the fish and the duck. You should frame that one. :)
