Scenes from the Road North

I honestly thought our little Cabin in the Pines was going to be our homebase for a while. As it turns out, lately it has been more like a launch pad. Today, the rocket has returned home.

Awaking way too early because of new cold symptoms, we said, "What the heck!" and departed Temecula at 4:30 AM. We were rewarded by this brilliant, yet subtle, sunrise.

The weather varied along the Eastern Sierra. With it primarily being breathtakingly beautiful.

However I describe it, this cozy little cabin is home and... "The magic thing about home is that it feels good to leave, and it feels even better to come back."
