An Evening of Live Theater

Steve and I were hanging out at a local Starbucks and saw this flyer on the community bulletin board.

We were so excited to see that SIX was being performed at our local high school. We had just seen it, and loved it, in June in London! "Divorced, beheaded, died, divorced, beheaded, survived. From Tudor Queens to Pop Icons, the SIX wives of Henry VIII take the microphone to reclaim their identities out of the shadow of their infamous spouse – remixing five hundred years of historical heartbreak into a Euphoric Celebration of 21st century girl power! This new original musical is the global sensation that everyone is losing their head over!"
About this award-winning drama program, it is described as, "Chaparral High School's theatre department has a reputation of providing professional-quality productions to the campus and surrounding communities. We are a nationally recognized program whose slogan is "Just because we perform on a high school stage, it doesn't mean we are just a 'high school show'." It was fun to return to the school from where both of our sons graduated (the oldest 20 years ago).

The description was 100% accurate. This was not just a high school show. These actors/singers are STARS. The talent was incredible. Honestly, London's production has nothing on these fabulous students. What a fantastic theater experience. Wow.

"From the start
it has been the theatre's business to entertain people
... it needs no other passport than fun."
-Bertolt Brecht
